Im sorry if this has been covered before tho I have to ask. I currently have a 97 pre-facelift EK9 running its standard gearbox. Ive been offered a DC2 box. I was wondering what gains I would get from this if any. My box is perfect apart from top end where it wont go passed 130mph I know thats not a terrible thing but was wondering what the general opinion on the box's were. The dc2 box is in good order aswell.

Sounds like you have a shorter 5th gear/final drive or box, shouldnt the standard EK9 box do 145-150?

I thought the standard ek9 box was faster but it is the original box for the b16b
