Keep in mind that wear of the B16B engine is so low(when is not modded) that you can have a 200,000 or more B16B already ****ed but in excellent condition!! What you might loose is some 10ths of a second because of the inevitable wear. You can throw a similar B16B on the track to make her suffer without single problem. I suppose there must be a few EK9 owners with untouched, not abused engines who rarely (or at least not too often) use vtec , hence almost no wear and nobody knows when these engines will die. I believe an untouched, not abused B16B can last 500,000 kms the least

I was informed by a mate of mine in jap car dealership that when a car engine in japan reaches 100000 miles it must be replaced something to do with some law on emmisions did anyone else hear about this?

170,000 km in my opinion is ok, if the old owner did the correct maintenance there shouldn't be any problems, if you have any doubts just check the compression per cylinder of the car with your mechanic.

105,000miles is nothing on a honda with a B series engine, the engone is just broke in! this is a bargain someone should snap it up, i love silvers and if i had spare cash i would to go with my CW ek9
