Sir dash into Ej coupe

Ok gonna attempt to switch my 98 ej6 coupe dash...

I have picked up a ek4 sir dash (I think) and before anyone starts goin on, yes I do no what's involved and not fazed at all, I love hardship <3 ha

Done a fair bit of research already so just looking for any tips, do's and dont's or anything outside the basic's, very eager to get started soon so will update as I go

Good luck is all i can say, removed an em1 dash once it was a total pain

so basically you're doing the swap for the dash with the knobs? I done this. I spent two days on it. Could have spent about 6/7 hours if I kept at it.

From experience..

DO'S:

- DC battery
- Drain coolant thoroughly from rad
- keep all dash bolts safe (take pics from your phone, helps where they go back to)
- be patient

DON'TS

- give up

Hardest part is taking the pipes off from the firewall in the bay. Good luck, will be worth it. The heater matrix is a straight swap

Theres a bolt or a nut in the engine bay if I remember correctly. catches everyone out.

the one with the knobs is the sir dash or ek9 facelift
if yours doesnt have knobs then its just an ek4 dash not an ek4 sir

ok so dumb ass ere finally no's what these knobs are ha and no there no on my dash so i take it its just an ek4 black dash (tbh i would rather it without them)

wouldnt mind a double din tho but ill leave that till further down the line

Type r's are outs my price range and realy want the orange sir's...

That's an SiR dash. Has one knob! And no air bag.
