Silly question but I had a thought. I have some very bad slider pins on the back, they are ITR 262s, they're pretty much stuck solid because theyre ******. I have a spare set of 262 fronts lying about ready for the scrap and was wondering would the sliders be the same size ?

I'm not buying new because I'm thinking of buying some reconditioned calipers from euro car parts so these should in theory sort me out until I get new stuff, not sure if euro car parts come with the carriers or sliders but im not going to put new sliders in old units anyways.

So does anybody know if they're interchangeable ?

I doubt they will be the same, fronts will be a larger diameter! Calipers from euro won't come with carriers! Only option really is to put new slides in old carriers just clean the old ones out with some emery paper on a drill and wd40 and get new slides and seals and you'll be fine!

Hmm, was going to be a temporary fix because the pistons are shot too and need a full rebuild . Guess i'll need to buy the new pins and just swap them over when I get the new calipers on

If you do a real good job of cleaning out the carrier you should be fine use high quality lube aswell like Bosch super fit or something like that that's meant for brakes but avoid copper grease at all costs!

Copper grease bad ? I use that on my sparkplug threads and some bolts on hub ?

I dislike copper greases just goes sticky when it dries up! Definitely wouldn't put it on spark plugs as it doesn't like alloy! Wouldn't put any kind of anti sieze on plugs! Seen someone put copper crease on alloy wheels and hub and it ate the alloy

Also the copper grease deteriorates seals

I only found that out yesterday when searching the Bosch grease, then realised my slider boots have gone brittle and split.

Yeah copper grease is awful stuff it's past it now best going with a Bosch grease

Bosch super fit is what I use on brake stuff
