sorry but i need to know

Found this on a Civic Review website.. as you can see he states before he added the turbo kit what his 0-60 was..i guess people just drive it different eh..

the car infront is indeed a honda. this being no ordinary honda, it is the honda civic ek9 type R. standard form, from its 1.6 n/a engine profile it is good for 185bhp, 0-60mph times of under 6 (i have had it at 5.1). this being the first generation civic type r (CTR), it can also claim the title of the fastest civic ever to be produced.

the following modifictions has been made to the car:
rev-hard turbo kit
titanium exhaust (full)
JDM air induction
lightened flywheel
lightened pulleys
tein coilovers (-40mm all round)
front/rear strut
rear tie bar
16" mag alloys
550cc injectors
prelude brake conversion
black diamond brake pads
apex vtec controller

the car has been dyno'd with 327bhp/ 287tq
the car has been at santa pod and has made the following times:
1/4 mile: 12.22 @ 121mph
0-60: 4.5s
max mph: off the clock, digital gprs was @ 162mph

..A much underrated car, it has a well balanced chassis, a ability to rival many on the road with a greater price tag, and still be there to have some more.
A classic in the making with good economy and handling. No other manufacturer holds the reputation of never having a engine returned to them due to defect like honda. their vtec engines are now a force to be reckoned with with others like toyota (vvti), FORD (ZETEC) AND NISSAN (CVT) FOLLWOING SUIT.

No problems so far, it may well outlast me..

Ok Neo, this is your last chance to hear this because is the last time I'm gonna say it. I don't know what kind of bibles you are reading or whatever, but the fact is that, what you say about the time under 6 secs for EK9 is true ONLY under some certain conditions. It depends absolutely on 1) ground level, 2) weather/Climate conditions, and 3) engine wear. The car can do below 6 secs in 0-96 km/h when these 3 conditions are met. It is proven that this affection takes place. The stock EK9 makes around 7 secs and can do slower when there are really bad condition. Stock EK9 can do also below 6 when the opposite conditions occur. Stock EK9 cannot do it around 5.7 or what you say in normal conditions because then it would be possible do it around 5 when the 3 conditions were met, you :loser: I'm sure that you could then beat a lots of EVOs with these numbers, NEO. Here in my town, EK9s do it in more than 6.5 but in the other side of the island they are about 0.3 - 0.5 of a sec slower because of difference in the gound level. Its stupid and frustrating to misinform people here, so I advice you to open your bible.... You might lost the correct page or something!!
You can keep the change

listen dude if i wanna hear **** i will fart you muppet....

Honda State the figures and the figures are fact, maybe you just cant drive or its always wet where you are, either way i dont give a **** nor do i want to hear it

The point im making is what honda state is FACT, yes in the wet etc it will be different but the FACT still is that 0-60mph time is 5.7seconds for an EK9

and seeing as you like the little loser icon so much LOSER here is one for you

I don't think 0-60mph in 5.7secs is imposible with the EK9... The e46 M3 in US is quoted on their BMW website as 0-60mph in 4.7secs where as in Australia 0-100kmph is quoted 5.2secs. Thats a whole 0.5secs difference.

If you take a good look on your speedo while in 2nd gear, rev it to 100kmph and see how long it takes for the needle to get from 96kmph to 100kmph. And trust me, 0.5secs is about right.

People think there is only 1 tenth of a second difference between 0-60 and 0-62mph. But boy they wrong...

The Dodge viper as you all know over in the US quotes 3.7secs 0-60mph BUT 0-62mph is 4.5secs.

There is no doubt that EK9's can hit 5.7secs from 0-60mph. And it will be about 6.2secs from 0-62mph.

I don't understand why you doubting your car???!

Peace!!

far out!! just do a 0-95kmph run on your own car and time that.
