Spoon blue ek9, work in progress

I like th colour and always good to be different! Sounds like an interesting build, good luck!! ;)

i think u should stick with the spoon theme an get everything spoon (rocker cover mani cams sump braces mirrors spoiler bonnet) go mad haha

Kingy, nope, the plans are bigger, better and far better value for money than spoon stuff. Although I MAY get one or 2 Spoon bits, one just for the going, other cos its hard to better for the money....
Its slowly coming together, I'm gathering the bits I can do, and already done a couple of little things. I may tackle the rear light seals today and have a real good poke about for rot, as I want to get it early. I got rust cure on the way, as well as some anti-corrosion stuff I've used on my motorbikes and that I know works. IMA cover the wheels and suspension with it. I'll get some more in time and then coat the exhaust, arches etc. Bit of a job. My main concern is the passenger door as it's showing signs on the inside, and the ridge that the boot hinges on. And I know its going to be impossible to match the colour.....
Most of the mechanical build bits are either end route or in with ready. Awaiting wheels to stick the new tyres on so when it goes into the workshop the new suspension goes on it can be set up properly. :)

Latest update.... test fitted SSRs - all good :)

But the other set of wheels had tyres on, so they went on..

And talking of wheels.... the "new" steering wheel...

BIG thanks to aRc.... ;)

Looks awesome on the Desmond Regamaster :nice:

Sorry but the SSRs are awful looking wheels :nono:

Thing is,the SSRs are real different, has civics on spoon wheels and spoon "reps" are very common...... I like different.....

Wasnt fussed on the teg wheels at all, the sw388's make it look alot better :nice:

ITR wheels were what it came with ;) And I'm still not 100% sure, but its highly likely the Desmond's will stay as they are lighter.
Missus doesn't want another set of wheels knocking about, and tbh I don't want to "ruin" a real rare set of ssr to use as a winter wheel.. But acf50 is awesome stuff so will protect them,no probs..

the rega's look awesome against the blue, shame rota had to fake pretty much ever decent set of wheels ever made.

They really are almost a work of art. And for their age, proper light. i would think that the centres are magnesium, I'm reckoning a £2k set of wheels, even back then.....
