Spoon Calipers w/Hawk HPS Pad?!?

Hey guys! I just bought some Hawk HPS ITR pads for my Spoon calipers, but it looks like the inner pad won't fit because of the riveted metal brake pad wear indicator sticking out. Any ideas? I assumed OEM ITR pads would fit w/o modification.

I used hawk hp plus set on a spoon caliper without any issues... hmmmm strange!

Without modification meaning no grinding the edges to fit them, you still have to remove the wear indicators though!

That's what I'm thinking. I've posted a pic of what I think needs to be grinded off. Correct?
