Spoon Civic Type R EK9 260hp 900kg

That sounds epic!
900kg is quite an achievement aswel as the 260hp.

The above is a bit mean really..

Amazing technical achievement to get the car to that spec and power, and I bet it is a absolute joy to drive

Ha ha yeah right!!
At a rough guess how much money do you think is in the engine alone?
Put that into even an NA kswap and the k would destroy it :)

Not a stock k20.

But then imagine if spoon built a k20 ek9 ;-)

I don't think it would destroy it. There is that video of a b18 ek4 vs evo, rx7, and s14, and none of the higher powered cars exactly destroyed the ek4. So I would find it unlikely that an ek9 with maybe 300bhp would destroy one with 260bhp. Much more than 300, and the difference in lap times I think would be negligible, or at least wouldn't warrant the extra money required to get more power.

That being said, if I were looking for around the 250 mark for an ek9, the only way I would go is k20.

Is there not already one? Had the 17" & 16" ce28ns on I think.

I think I was maybe over eager with "destroy" :)

Impressed by that fn2 coming 2nd.
Although it seems some cars are more developed than others in that video

yeah think some cars are more tuned that others, but the Spoon EK9 is a machine! If you ever need a reason to k-series an ek9, this video is it!

If I ever got the itch for a bit more power, it would be K for me.

Me too in honesty, a nicely tuned 260-270hp k20 with short gearing would be perfect for me.
You got the extra gear and the NA response that you can't match with a turbo b on a twisty track.
All IMO
