hi all, am looking for a new system for the 9...im not after something thats stupidly loud...but something that sounds good! iv been looking at the spoon n1 personally...but seems as tho not alot of ppl are using these? is there a reason why? or personal taste? as everyone seems to be getting the twin loop....

anyone knows the differences between the 2? :)

there re loads of people using the spoon system on here ;)
both are very good. just one is louder than the other

oh right, just wherever i see used twin loop's they always get snatched up pretty quickly~ which 1s louder?

In my opinion the mugen twin loop is the best one for performance, and the sound is not that loud compared to spoon, or buddy club exhaust, I used it and I recommend it to you for daily a daily drive car :)

The spoon is closer o 100 db assuming you're running a full system.
The mugen is near enough stock, but with a nce sporty note

there is a nice satisfying sound from the spoon system:D

if you dont like noise go fro the mugen twin loop

hmm....after lots of hard thinking......im going to get the spoon n1!

does anyone know of any place i can get hold of a full system? used or brand new not too bothered

I've had both and prefer the Mugen Twin Loop. I had the Spoon 4-2 n 2-1 manifold, de-cat, Spoon B-pipe and Spoon N1 and it was mighty loud. Driving hard the car sounded amazing, i loved it so much but when driving it normal it was just to loud. I ended up swapping it for a Mugen Twin Loop Cat back and swapped the decat for a standard cat.

If you enjoy the vtec noise go for N1.

Spoon N1 with J's tsuchinoko intake sounds perfect

i luv the noise of a spoon n1 its my fav exhaust. very good noticable performance from both of them just depends how loud u like it and u said u want it loud so spoon is the one for you

have spoon mani, b-pipe and n1 and..........oh my ! crackin rip off it and noticable torque improvement. My mate has the twinloop and as said it just sounds stock untill vtec then gives and lovelly rip:nice: i vote spoon though but i would lol:D

SPOON N1 flows better than MUGEN for top end and is much louder.

Exhuast theory is the straightest pipes with less bends = more flow. Once air needs to make 90+degree turns, it slows down.

End of the day, its your preference. Mugen is nice for the street. :nice:

yep Spoon street box, quiet enough when you want to with the distinct rasp sound and loud when goin for it

Yeah I was thinking about gettin the Spoon Street Type, but its alot heavier then the N1.
If you're worried about the noise, as I am, I think the Spoon Sub Silencer will reduce the volume of the exhaust by about 5DB.

I wonder can you use more then one silencer at a time?

Anyone know how many DB the OEM exhaust is?

My buddy club header, OEM midpipe with cat and OEM backbox registered 91db at my last trackday.

At Brands mine was 86DB, at Combe it was 81DB - 5Zigen 4-2-1 manifold with stock exhaust.

Mine measured arround 95db

Spoon N1 cat back

De cat and 4-2-1 Greddy header

Sounds amazing!!! I love it so much.
