Hey Guys...

Im currently in the progress of buying the Spoon stroker kit for my car...

Im abit confused on bore size tho as they list two.. 81mm and 81.25 for oversized. What exectly does this mean ??

Cheers - Andy

It means you will have a bigger piston size, and because of that your displacement will be increased, I'm not 100 % sure if it's safe or if you will need to take your block to the machine shop so they can make the pistons fit, blinx9900 need your help here hehe :blinx:

blinx is here to save the day ;) i would suggest the 81.25mm version, this will require a machine shop to bore and hone your block, but this way you are garunteed a perfect ring seal and it will be like a brand new motor. after many miles of hard driving the cylinder wall can get fine scratches in it, and if you put new pistons/ring in it, it might now seal properly anymore, hence the reason for the minor overbore, it gives the piston rings a fresh surface to seal against. you can go up to 81.5mm safely on a stock cylinder sleeve. i personally have a 81.5mm right now :nice:

Cheers for the help guys...

Im just abit paranoid about having my block bored etc incase something went wrong. My engine has only done 43,000 as its 2000 rx.. So you recomend 81.25 ??

Cheers - Andy

Lol right ive made my decision.... I went for the 81.25 in the end.

Reason being I spoke to the shop doing my head work etc and they highly recomended the over bore as putting new pistons and rings into an old block is un-reliable.. Cheers for all your help guys...
