No_Fear said:spoon kit is not balanced at all you are buying honda oem parts.
buts its good deal when you need rebuild ,i would take all except the pistons and use the b16b pistons
No_Fear said:balanced or not from spoon the R componets are balanced from honda.spoon stroker is good solution for rebuild.
blinx9900 said:im not sure where you are but, ive dealt with spoon a lot in the 90's and have read numerous articles and interviews with different spoon reps. it is also well known around here that most spoon parts are factory R parts rebalanced by spoon to spoon specs. most piston manufactureres dont say there pistons are balanced, its assumed. spoon balnaces them with higher rpm in mind so that all parts are within (i believe) 1 oz of each other.

SpoonCTR said:Well, what do you think is better, spend 1000$ + in camshafts + retainers + springs, or buy this stroker kit for the b16b?
I think that this kit!
Like the domestic car owners say, there's no replacement for displacement lol
blinx9900 said:i personally am 100% against stroking the b16b. you ruin its excellent rs ratio. i would (if staying all motor) spend 650-700 and get blox b's with there springs and retainers. with the extra $ get it dyno tuned with a chipped p28 or get a basemap from www.phearable.net this will make more or the same hp as a stroker kit and you will keep your rs ratio and be able to rev to 9500+ reliably.
and there is a replacement for displacement: vtec, boost, efficiency, and rpm.
i will be using all four for my b16b look for a write up comming soon boost + b16b + 9000rpm.

I have friends of mine with b18c engines, reving up to 9500 RPM !
