hi guys..

just want to hear ur opinion n comment about this 2 brand..
top brands for honda around the globe..
which do u like most?

in term of :

1) performance - engine parts,lightweight..
e.g : headers,exhaust system,cam n others..

2) appearance - interior n exterior stuff..
e.g: wheels,bodykits,shiftknobs n others

enjoy ur rides..

I prefer mugen over spoon, because they make quality parts.

Spoon, has some good parts also, i have spoon / mugen parts on my ride :)

They are the most popular I guess, Mugen is very close to Honda, it was founded by Soichiros son. They have access to a lot of info many tuners dont, and they look to imporve over the original parts.

Spoon does the same they perfect and optmize stock parts, they are high quality and the price reflects that, they keep things useful and not too extreme, they go for reliability instead of top power.

There are many high quality and more extreme Honda tuners like, J's, Feel's, Seeker, M&M, etc that use more power oriented parts.

You wont go wrong using any of their parts, it just depends on your plans and focus when tuning your car.

never heard Seeker , M&M here in asia..
but J's Racing carbon fiber air ram are hot item..
love the curvy body line..and carbon fiber material summore..

Over here in the states, both of those are so expensive that niether is easly to get ahold of...I guess I dont really have a preference.

Check out the seeker site :

http://www.seeker.co.jp/

Their shop eg6, has like 260 whp ...

Currently i have Mugen exaust system, and its great. I think mugen and spoon they both have some excellent aftermarket parts, I dont prefiere mugen over spoon or spoon over mugen, they both make quality parts and in a near future i will buy some spoon parts :)

you're so lucky, that exaust its very expensive here in the UK

i think only japan got cheap price..

thats just too much money

i love spoon like andy said, spoon look's for better performance with out going too extreme on the performance parts, their cams are very mild and not too agresive, i love their brake pads, on mugen i don't now them too much

both companys have same great idea, take already amazing stock parts balance and modify slightly and keep realibility high on list while improving performance, personally id prefere spoon only on one reason!!

a friend of mine got spoons ecu and 1.8l stroker kit for his ek9,
this coupled with ss exhaust(mugen,j's) produced 220 bhp, 189 whp all at a low of 8100rpm and 140 flbs at 6500!!! thats not just good power its at the perfect place not all near top, this all cost only 1500 stg bout €2000 not inc lab which is amazing over stock, he never lost to any! tuned itr and is doing 1/4's in low 14's think last run was 14.32 with stock tyres and nothing stripped out, this is why i have most faith in spoon, now never seen mugan so might be a little biased but i truely trust spoon, also about a track the ek9 is unstopable.

sorry for my waffle but my two cents

i wish some day to put the spoon stroker kit to my b16b, anyone knows where to buy it cheap in the US?

spoon and cheap dont belong in the same sentance...

theres a crowd in the uk but there mail order so they'l post, there is a slight delay as parts come from spoon direct but are well worth it

www.tokyo-expresss.co.uk or .com
try both
under 1000 stg for kit bout 1500 yo yo's

well if its on parts than definitely Mugen, Mugen's parts are more extreme than Spoon, however, Spoon are widely renowned for tuning Honda machines using turbochargers or NA type, meaning they are a different type of Honda, seeing the variations of Civic and Integra, new or old. On bodykits both company doesn't quite release bodykits with much of an impact. I'll recommend for Spoon since their bodykit tend to increase air flowing drastically.

both products are overpriced, spoon i believe is little better in engine parts and mugen has very nice body kits

both companies have the some concept ,build machines that last in the racing and dont make big HP.

SPOON > MUGEN..

I went to Spoon HQ Last year in Nov, Bought a wad load of stuff and went for a tour around the building, Ichishima San then took us for a drive to Type.ONE round the corner to see the work getting carried out on some S2K's, EG6's, DC2's and EK9's. There was a 220whp k20 EK9 there (in my sig) which i got to get in an rev etc lol. Was emense.

Mugen is alright, but the way i see it.. Spoon's more my time lol
