Stock manifold re-fitting help

Hi guys, any idea how I get this ******* bolt into this bracket? I can't figure it out :\

I`m not sure what`s the problem exactly but.... try removing the locking nut first?

Well when i took off my OEM manifold 2 weeks ago, There was no bolt goin into the block itself? Are you sure a bolt goes in there?!

think thats the wrong bolt, should just be a bolt tht goes straight in to the block i think.

OEM manifold definitely has a bracket lower down near the downpipe mate, maybe yours was missing?

I'll have another go with another bolt, then.

Well that bracket is on my manifold alright, but there was no bolt goin through it. It was bolted on in 3 difference places - At the start on the block, Then where it joins to your cat and then onto the back of the engine beside the o2 sensor...I dont think a bolt goes through that hole your on about. Never heard anyone body on about it before. There 3 places I listed above are sufficent...

loosen up the second part of the header so you can thread the bolt on to the block, then tighten every bolt back up...

@ anto -there is deffo supposed to be a bolt going through that hole,pretty sure my itr had it, my ek 9 has it, the b16a sat in my garage has it,

perhaps the cast bracket is bolted on to the mani upside down, ie, the end thats bolted to the mani should be bolted to the block and vise versa... just a thought.
