strut brace engine part

fitted a 3 point strut brace today and i had to remove something out of the engine bay to fit it, well it was bolted onto the car, but was not doing anything. It had no hoses going to it, or away from it. Just some wiring and plug.

I was wondering if i unclip the plug, will i get a warning light on my dash? means i can remove it, that way.

takes things out of the engine bay that i don't need.

is that not the inertia switch? if so its a trembler device that detects when you crash and cuts off your fuel.

id simply relocate it rather than remove it.

relocate it, it is then! looks like theres meant to have pipes going too and from it though? but nothings connected

That's the purge valve control ... it's contected to the charcoal (evap) canister and intake manifold
