SUGGESTION: A Meet in Surrey?

Just a suggestion to see if anyone would be interested?

I've searched the forum looking for any meets in Surrey and I've been unsuccessful.. :( (point me in the right direction if there is something out there!)

I was just looking for a monthly meet maybe to meet some new faces? Look at different cars get some different ideas and admire other peoples work?
I don't know.. There just doesn't seem to be any meets of any kind in Surrey..

Maybe because im still a newbie and im blind as to where i should be looking but... if anyone's up for it then maybe we should get something organised now the weather is better? (not that my car is anything i wanna show off just yet but still..)

Just organise some and gradually they'll grow.

That happened in Milton Keynes with JDMFresh. One guy and a couple mates and now every month we meet in Milton Keynes and Northampton alternately and there's about 50 of us

Dya reckon this will work? How much notice do people need for a car meet? I don't know if there are many honda's in the surrey area so i'm unsure about the turnout.. :nono:I don't know anyone who has a honda either so i'd be on my own LOL! :shocked: XXX
 
I currently go to a modified Genius meet here in Yorkshire. It's the first sunday of every month. Get FD's, GT-R's, EK9's etc, they started small and got pretty big. I think last meet it was about 200 cars :p

If you get the word out and organise it properly I'm sure people will turn up.
 
I would come to a meet in Surrey. I live in Woking and drive a stripped out EK4 track car and think it would be cool to get to meet other Honda enthusiasts.

I've nooo idea how to organise a meet!! :( I'm new to honda's, new to forums.. and new too meets... how the hell do i organise a meet!?! Haha!! :p

I agree!

I don't know where the best place would be though? I think it might be a trial and error sitaution as to find somewhere to meet without Police turning up and all the rest of it..

Maybe Guildford? Farnborough im not so sure.. Or even anywhere in woking? or even bracknell just outside of surrey? If anyone has any input it would be MUCH appreciated! :)

Haha time depends on people arrangements I find. Normally we get a weeks notice but the last meet we had something like 8 hours notice! Still had about 20 of us with that little time

thats not bad considering... i was thinking like a months notice? but i suppose that could be too long? :s xxx

Longer the better Imo but I can drop everything and go as I'm not tied down with a mrs, kids, etc so it doesn't bother me.

The MK lot tend to put it on forums and fb so it reaches out to the most people

is there anything on facebook for hondas? apart from the honda parts for sale? That could also work to get the word out.. if there are at least a few people who are willing to come then im up for giving this a go an organising it...!? Xxx
 
Have a search for HIS (Hondas In South). I know they have meets every so often. Plus you might be able to get them to organise a meet in surrey. Think they have a facebook page.

Search jdmfresh all one word. That's the Mk one. Also add me on fb easiest way os to put /jonnypratt44 in the browser bar at end of facebook.com and you'll get me. I'll come to some of the meets if they're at weekends to help you get started :) sure I can persuade some of our lads to come too.

Rvm, where can I get some of the ek9.org stickers for my personal use?
