target 200whp or above

Hi,my engine is JDM B18c type-r 96...now im looking get 200 whp on dynamic dynometer. So, im planned buy a high cam+valve spring and my planned is JUN 3..my car setup is 1/4 mile drag...I've do the compression test on my engine, the data as per below :
piston 1 : 10.5 bar.
piston 2 : 10.5 bar.
piston 3 : 10.5 bar.
piston 4 : 10.5 bar.

I also already using PCT piston on this engines and done PnP head.AFC neo for fine tune the AFR.

Is the compression is enough for this cam (JUN3)?
Fyi,my compression ratio is 12.2:1, and my country fuel is RON 95,97 and 98.

Anybody have experience the JUN 3...I hope u can share about this...
 
get rid of the neo anyway and get a proper programmable ecu. the neo is a waste of money. i had one and got rid of it. doesnt have the capabilities to make your car map your car properly.
 
with jun3 cams and b16b pistons in b18c you might have problem the valves touch the piston

Maybe so, but there are more ways to get mre hp. Take a better intake, better intake manifold or individual throttle body's, better exhause header, port and polish the head.

@mattop_speed: i think you can touch the 200whp, but it will take A LOT of work. Imho, depending on the prices where you come from, you'd better get a K20 in.

yes fren more than 200whp can touch but look mattop_speed current set up
i don't think he can get that figure at dyno dynamic.
imho at least 2.0cc engine to get 200whp

He's gonna need all the thing I talked about at least. Certainly not with hus current setup.

Sidetracking...I've always have the impression that RON 97 is the highest in M'sia. Mind telling me which petrol is RON 98?

70mm throttle body.
rechipped ECU.
toda adjustable campulley.
81 mm pct piston.
Ogura clutch+3.8kg flywheel.

Fyi, my friend using JDM B16a 94 + JDM type-r part inside can get 169 hp on dyno dynamics.(using RON98)
 
mattop are u already dyno ur car with current set up?
On dyno dynamic only not dynojet or else.

ur fren b16a type r part if pct piston and cam cannot get 169whp on dynamic dyno machine if dynojet maybe.

if u want 200whp on dyno dynamic

now im looking JUN 3 to get the more hp. Before this dont do a dyno run just a wideband tuning.

thanks for ur info 'madcivic'...But my engine is complete rebuilt and waiting my high lift cam to put inside it.
 
mattop_speed. . your compression looks low at 10.5bar (154 psi) .. did u do the compression test then WOT ? if u did u should get at least 14.5-15 bar

owh..what piston can using to get this compression?what RON suitable to running it?

a normal b16a should get those figures. your engine should get something slightly higher since you are running CTR PCT pistons.

You should tune your car to what ever octane fuel u can get.
Basically the ignition mapping/timing is adjusted to ensure your engine does not detonate.

yes mattop my fren 1st time do compression test tb fully close and the figure like u and after that engine cannot start coz dist. coil spoil.:angry2:

yup...i have get 14.5 bar in all cylinder. Thats mean i can using JUN3 to achieve my target.thanks for ur advise.

For my fuel i want using Shell V-Power (ron98)...
