Ok guys, take a deep breath and don't freak out (like I almost did), it's just a demo of the new project called "Heavy Rain", which shows something we have never seen before and can run only on PS3's cell processor, hence an exclusive game for PS3. It has been known that since the day this console came out, the game development industry did not manage to get the best out of this processor, well it's time I guess...
And remember, this game is still unfinished in every aspect...

i always thought that it would be a shame if the video game industry did not take advantage of the PS3 hardware, im glad to see they are doing something.

Well the Cell Processor is indeed good, it's already behind in the Graphics Processing Industry. It's about as powerful as a GeForce 7950GT. I'm buying a new video card for my new PC build. It's a GeForce 8800GT. It's infinitely more powerful. The PC is as always ahead in the graphics market because they constantly change while the Consoles remain the same for years.

I honestly am not in the least impressed with the PS3. My friend and I were at Best Buy and he was playing on a PS3 they had there and it was some kind of off-road game. First off the graphics were meh at best and the frame rates were horrible. I get better frame rates out of my SLi'ed 7600GT's in NFS ProStreet.

Also, you may not know it, but the graphics quality on Console counterparts of games that are also on PC is actually turned down so that the console can handle it. CoD4 on a full blown gaming PC with the graphics settings all turned up looks better than the console versions.

Sorry, just a PC elitist rant. This game however does look good but I bet the actual gameplay won't look that nice. It never does PC or Console.

Well, sort of. I can build a rig piece by piece reusing old parts until I have cash for the rest. I can't do that with a PS3, therefore I can't afford one of them. It's too much for one purchase for me since I never have that much (my job is teh total suck. I need to get on the ball and find another).

And here it is the real person inspired the team for the main character(Mary). She is a French-American actress named Aurélie Brancilhon.

I don't know what the final result will be but something tells me this game is going to be a huge hit as it takes PS3 in a different level. The most possible slogan on the cover is "How far are you prepared to go to save someone you love?"

We will see....

The price for PS3 drops day by day like crazy and that's because its initial price was waaayyy high compared to the it's contenders and considering also the low start in game development for this console and few game choices that's why it stood behind, now is like a 6.0 Litre V12 engine after 100 km/h :)
Statistics say it will outsell XBOX360 during 2008
So maybe it won't be impossible for you to get one in the near future :nice:

Outperformed? My new gaming rig will be about 20x more powerful than a PS3 (possibly more). With an Athlon 64 X2 6000+, 4GB of RAM and a GeForce 8800GT, it's no contest. My system will be able play Crysis, the PINNACLE or graphics and physics quality in gaming right now. My current rig is actually too weak to play it.

PC Gaming always has and always will be better :D. You just gotta know what you are doing. :p Plus, with my PC I can also play Gameboy, Gameboy Advance, NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, N64, PS/X, PS2, and I'm sure XBOX and Gamecube is well, and that's not all. Emulators are the ****!

You can get emulators on consoles as well, its not just a PC thing. And I like console games because its more fun for me to use a controller than use a keyboard and mouse. Those weren't even designed for games!

How long you will be building this system piece by piece(as you said)?
Money?

It should be up and running in 2 weeks or so. I'm trying not skimp like I did on my last 2. I've got the motherboard, RAM, hard drive, and case. Just need the Processor and Vista and I'll on my new rig as the main but it won't be complete. It'll still be short the 8800GT for a while and will be running my old 7600GT's for a while on my old 450W power supply. Soon it'll be running the 8800GT with a 700W power supply.

Since you are willing to pay a decent amount of money, why don't you get a nice dual-processor system? You will have it for a long long long time before it gets outdated :nice:

One word: WoW

oh, only available on PC :D

No, :D finally it was decided to be available for PS3, 360 and PC, however XBOX360 owners have to know that the quality in graphics will be slightly worse than on the other two.
Truly it's the first time I'm looking at a game character(not a pic) and I have a strange feeling.....a bit nervous maybe and some "fear".....In fact the first time I saw the demo and she picked up the gun to pretend pulling the trigger on her, I almost said "Pls don't do it". :wow: Who knows where technology level will be ten years from now. May God stop time!! :nono:

Gonna be quite hard to play without a keyboard! hehe :D

Well, dual CPU's aren't really worth anything anymore cause of Dual Core and Quad Core CPU's. My new rig will have a Dual Core Athlon 64 X2 6000+. Right now I'm rockin a weak ass Single Core Athlon 64 3500+ that I have to overclock to get play NFS ProStreet correctly (I hate sacrificing graphics quality which was causing a response lag in my controls, OC'ing the processor fixes that).

Man, I can't wait to get my new rig running but I have to get some new headlights for my car first then I should get the new rig going soon after.
