the big question - pre-facelift or facelift?

Did a quick search and coudn't find anything like this..

Ek9 pre-facelift or facelift

What do people prefer and why?
Would people prefer to pay the extra for a facelift?
Are the differences worth the extra money?
 
In the real world there isn't any difference.
Just a case of personal preference :)
I personally prefer facelift :nice:
 
I know its personal preference but what sets it apart?

For me I prefer the pre, the swooping 'smooth' look the front bumper does it for me..
I don't like the vents on the facelift bumper..
 
Prefacelift all the way, had to get the smooth bumpers for mine aswel but I think the fogys look better on the facelift than the pre
 
Pre-facelift for me! Never really liked the looks of facelift EK9... The only real advantage of getting a facelift is the fact the car is going to be a tad newer, but these are getting so old now that the level of maintenance it has been subject to will have far greater effect on its condition than its age... So as above - just go with what you like better!
 
I already have a pre-facelift haha..

I just wanted to see peoples opinions and get a debate going ;)
 
i have a pre-facelift. i much prefer the front end of the pre-facelift and thats why i got it... but i do wish i had the centre console of the facelift with the double din stereo and newer fresher heater dials :D
 
Iv owned 3 prefacelifts and 2 facelifts! Have too say prefer the prefacelift. Iv an sir atm and in my opinion the smoothed front bumper and sir lip is ***... :d lol
 
Pre facelift all day! Ek9 will be pre faced with facelift engine and climate control tho :D
 
Facelift, doesn't look that dated and looks more modern, also you got a few new bits and it looks slicker, but then again I have a facelift now, I used to have a pre facelift though.
 
In Type R trim i think they both look equally as great.

In VTi/sport etc trim the facelift its a far nicer more modern looking car without them horrid bump strips etc.
 
Anyone have a pic of both side by side and front on? Tried doing a search but the pictures are missing now :(
 
i prefer the facelift , headlights i think look better and cleaner and the bumper ... but the pre-facelift looks better when used for a track car , or if going for that track car look , stripped out, caged, not slammed etc etc
 
this is as good as i can do for the minute...
mines the pre, a friend has the facelift

Totally agree, preface lift for track/aggressive look!

facelift for more subtle and clean look... both stunning in their own ways.
