GENERAL INFO:
TAX UNTIL 31ST AUG and MOT EXPIRES END OF SEPT 09
50k mile engine
ABS model
Air con removed
Hks air filter
Tinted rear windows
just had service (oil and filter changed)
late spec front bumper
BODYWORK: The car is completly stock and is a very clean shell so would make the perfect base for a project car or someone who just wants a stock example. It hasnt seen any paint or repairs which is a rarity with jap imports as alot of had blow overs or poor repairs, but this is as straight and original as they come. I will also add that i am VERY fussy when it comes to bodywork so when i say its clean, i mean it! it has been polished and wax'd regularly and i also polished the engine bay whilst i had the engine out so its just as nice under the bonnet as it is on the outside. The speedometer reads 105,000km
MORE INFO: I am a starlet enthusiast so be assured that your not bidding on a lemon! i bought this car with the intention of it being a project car however having 2 other starlets at the time left me without much time or funds to do anything to it... not much has been done to this, i bought the car with a knocking bottom end so i replaced it with a low mileage (50k mile) engine from one of my other starlets which i had been driving for months prior to removing it so i know its a decent engine.
ENGINE: The engine runs spot on, having only done 50k miles its got plenty of life left in it, these engines are built to last and go on forever with regular servicing and care. It doesnt smoke or make any funny noises, the turbo boost's up fine and pull's well like you'd expect it to.
NEGATIVE POINTS: The only negative points to mention is that it has 2 chips on the front windscreen, a couple of small dings on the drivers door, and the fan switch needs replacing (easy job around £16 for a new switch from toyota, 2min job to change) ive bypassed the fan for now so it is running constant. i will get this sorted if i get time.
To summarise the above, this is a clean well looked after car with a decent engine, only a couple of very minor faults which can be sorted with little time and money. Ive had enough starlets and seen enough over the years to know whats a good example and what is not and this is definantly one of the good ones, and its going cheap so get bidding!!!
