It will help spooling?
It will shield the heat? of course yes
It will affect the lifetime of the turbo?

i dont see any cons by having a turbo blanket..
it might help you spool
it works as a heat shield
and i really dont think it will affect the lifetime of the turbo

Heat is energy and energy is what turns the turbine wheel, go for it. Wrap the manifold and downpipe while your at it or if you feeling flush have the whole lot ceramic coated.

^^^ what he said! My hotside mani and downpipe is ceramic coated and the difference in spool was 550rpm earlier and it runs a boat load cooler under the bonnet
