Turbocharging - exhaust diameter?

Didn't know if this should be here or in exhaust so forgive me if it's in the wrong place! Got a race tech kit lined up for the car and I'm now wondering if I'll need to change exhaust system. Currently using a 2.5" de-cat Spoon N1 system but aiming for 350ish bhp. Will the bore be enough or will I need to go for a 3" system? Thanks!
 
You would be better off with the 3" system for that power goal.
 
3" would be better , but i think you should be able to make power even with a 2.5"
 
Thought as much, thanks gents. Love the noise of the N1 so butchering it is!
 
Im gonna need to butcher the Skunk2, since fitting the turbo to mine it is way quieter! Gonna take silencer out of mid section to bring back some noise.

I think you would be better off selling the spoon system and put the money towards a custom 3" exhaust

Taking out the centre box wont make much of a difference.
Leave it silent and scare people:naughty:
 
I thought it would make it a bit louder, no?

I miss the noise it made when it was N/A lol
 
I'd say anything over 300 you want to be stepping upto 3".
 
I'd happily sell the N1 and go custom, but for some odd reason the unbelievably loud exhaust is one of the only things the other half likes. And chopping up the exhaust so that it remains is worth it to save me hours of whining!
 
You can still have a loud exhaust if you go custom, wouldn't advise using the N1 for your turbo setup
 
I had a 3" straight through on my boost set up - no worries there it was loud :)
 
I have a 3" custom exhaust. It has a sports cat, 1 mid box and a back box and it is loud up top revs. It dose also scare people :nice:
 
Looks like I'll be going 3" then! Who made your exhaust keith and how much? Pm if you like :)
 
350 is ******* cheap for a custom exhaust! Will definitely have to look into it. Thanks lads :)
