tyre width on a 6.5j+

After looking online it appears
A048 and DZ03G in 225 are suitable for 7j rim.
Iirc both say 7-8.5j with 7.5 being optimal...

Thought this may be the only option. If you have time have a read of the following thread:

Some very good and detailed info.

They seem to like a bit of stretch on there dont they! 195/50 on 7.5j! I was just going to get 7j, but wasnt convinced there was much point as I'm not really gaining much.

@jesse888 I can see why you moved to 16s - I want to do as little arch work as possible, so 8j and 16 would be hard work for me, plus tyres arent as easy to find etc. I really like the 888s and feel they get better the longer I stay out! so gunna be sticking with them for now, but yeh, isnt too many in that size!

Yeah I'm alittle concerned about how it's going to sit tbh.
Makes my gearing alittle longer though so I'm happy about that lol

See the general view is that 888s overheat too fast. Tyres are strange and I can't figure them out at all lol

I overheat my r888 after 10-15mins.but they still work - just a bit greasy.

I still have my medium fz201 in 205 to try. Optimum wheel width stated as 6.5j.

I was going to try the federals but opted for the dunlops instead. Be interested to hear what you make of them.
