Update on my EK4


ijwiteman i have an ek4 myself and was wondering that situation with the b-pipe, so you are telling us that spoon b-pipe is not direct fit with the oem cat or is it because your decat don´t fit with it, if doesn´t fit the oem cat maybe with a itr cat??? please need some help on that since in Portugal you have to past some carb inspection

It does NOT fit EK4 a standard you have to get a JDM length cat approx 12" long.

As for the cat you have 2 options. If you run a Uk spec manifold you need the DC JDM decat suitable for 2.25" outlets. If you change your manifold to a 2.5" outlet like the EK9 has you have a lot more options open to you. Either a EK9 decat or EK9 Catylic convertor. The choice is yours. Failing that you could fabricate one or have one fabricated for you.

Aluminium radiator apparantly 30% more effiecient. Needs a new bracket made so will get one lasered out at work next week out of stainless steel.

Not sure about the rad. Certaintly runs a lil cooler from the thermostat. And can't really tell what diff the ETD has made? Doesn't help i haven't driven it for over a week............

Only problem is where its a 4-2-1 it sits higher and needs to be played with a lil as its knocking on the gear shift especially on over run. Well annoyed so back to the garage weds to find out what needs adjusting.

Over than that sounds absolutly AMAZING and it has comlplimented the spoon cat back perfectly.

I'm a dribbling mess when i'm driving along :lol:
 
manifold is nice bet it feels much better than it did with that 4-1 on it

Finally bought some recaro seats. Mint condition. Just waiting on my spoon lower frames to really get down low.

Not sure what to do now.

I have to get paint work done.

But performance wise i'm a bit stuck. Def looking in2 a B18C and possibly combined with a 4.9 final drive.

May turn my attention to handling. LCA's, new trailing arm bushes maybe new coilovers 2.

Any1 have any suggestions for next mods?
 
looking good man , did the alu rad weight a good bit less than stock ?
