hiya everyone as some of you know im going to be picking up my ek9 in feb. Me and my other half have been talking as she going to uni to study pre school teaching we would like to make the move to the usa when she has finnished this would mean having to sell the ek9 and buy one in the states or import it over to the states would realy love to take the car with me what would be the best option ?? bare in mind we might not go to the states in the end just testing the water.

If you like your Ek9 that much and your not 100% sure you are going to move there permanently why not leave it in some kind of dry storage over here, maybe with a close relative?

it would be perminant mate if we go as i have lived there before but we are just talking to go or not to go. its still a long way off so got alot of time to make my mind up.
 
good luck trying to register the legal way a imported car here in the states. it'll cost you a arm and a leg to do that.
 
hmm think we will have to review this near the time the other option is to just move to the sea side like newquey ;)

cheers mate the way i think is you only live one enjoy it while you can just hope i can find the right place if i do stay in the uk :)
 
they do not sell the ek9 here in the states, the ek9's you do find have already been imported.....where in the states are you moving to? Florida has no issues getting them registered, OR if you went to canada you could get it registered there as well

you should do everything you can to get it here

We like the look of Florida as we have both been there aswell but California Is an option aswell. I used to live just outside Washington dc that was nice aswell . Will just have to see how much it adds up to when we make our choice
 
i think is best if you sell and buy one over the states registration is a b!tch
