vafc2 best settings

i no i no people think there the biggest waste but got one real cheap an wanted to give it ago.

my mods are

comptech 421 mani
whale cock induction
an aftermarket pipe

would like settings of someone with similar mods.

or does anyone no of anyone who knows what there doing with these things.

from northern ireland any one local no how.

Bring it to a tuner and have it tuned correctly, there is no correct settings for these they should be mapped to suit the engine and mods of car. No two engine's run the same even if you fit the same mods. I do tuning near Dublin if that's any help to you.
 
As Vtec6000 said, but for a start lower VTEC changeover to about 6000. You will not get any full throttle gains as when VTEC is engaged the ecu has the injectors working at 100% anyway.
Great little gadgets though.

I suspect 4-5 weeks time depending on when I can get some free time to make the trip.

There ok for small fuel adjustments but a custom mapped ecu would be a lot better than a vafc or spoon ecu.
 
Are you able to do tat to standard ecu or do you have to buy mappable ecu.

Well got it wired in there an car not idling while at all sound really different likes she's going to flood an it does vtec an it cuts out at 6500rpm.
It is second hand an not sure wat it was out of.

Is there like a reset button or some thing .

You need a socketed obd1 ecu which I can supply.

Check wiring, you may have map sensor wires wrong way around.

Yes go to main menu and scroll down to "etc" hit enter then scroll down to "initialize" and hit enter it will say Init all yes or no, highlight yes and hit enter.
 
Right will check I'm happy enough leaving till you look at it if you can. Have it all disconnected.

Is it normal when the engine light comes on when it connected or is it because it not working right tat it's one.

Well how much for one of them mapped an set up. An wat all does it do.
 
I have an SAFC2. Super Air Flow Controller

It just does air and fuel control, I just use it as a rev meter and tell tail, and throttle percentage, Haven't bothered mapping it or messing with fuel settings was scared I might make it run too lean lol.

Have a read through good and the online instruction manual will give you a better idea.

I never got any engine check lights etc.. you need to go into setting an initialize settings etc... all in the manual online. Google it :nice:
 
yea printed out the manual. but to be honest it all foreign to me an thats what im afraid of doing , running her to lean.

thats good for i hate engine light on for youll never no if there was anything actually wrong with car when it on all the time.

i like the vafc2 tho its cool an would like it set right.
