vtec and idle speed problem

hi guys,

i've done a b18c4 swap into my ej9, the car is running and drives fine but there is a problem.

on the first start up the idle speed stays @1500rpm no matter how far i've been or the coolant temp (gauge is working). while it idles high i have no vtec.

once the car is warm i can turn the ignition off leave it for few seconds restart the car and the idle speed starts to drop like its coming off its warm up map. idles speed returns to around 800rpm and the vtec works no problem.

i'm using a socketed p28 using a h-tune base map chip and an ek9 wiring loom.
i've got no cel codes and have used 2 different chips with the same results.

has anyone got any ideas, any further info jus ask and i'll get it if it'll help work out what it is lol.

no one ever come across a problem like this?? i've changed the iacv with one off a friends car this has made no difference

i've also tried a different socketed ecu and that made on change at all.
 
i too just encountered this problem yesterday. It was fine a b4 that . now my car idles at 1100 rpm and no vtec. i've checked my oil level , engine temp switch is ok. no idea what happened.
 
Well worth a shot as I have exactly the same problem and no one seems to know the cause
