vtec issue ............help


problem solved ...............................................

well at long last ,
i stripped the engine down and sent it to the engineer to hone the block but he rang back to say the cylinders were to bad and needed .5 oversized pistons
they were in and out like a jockey and on different sides so this was my issue he nore 2 diff tuners or 3 mechanics cud believe this

pistons been fitted tomoro and den it will be heat cycled on the dyno
den ran in for about a 1k
im takin no chances cant wait to get it tuned once all this is done
the engine is brand new now
 
Don't suppose your running a vtec controller?

Very strange how it wasn't burning oil if cylinders were that bad
 
.5 oversize :eek2:

That would have burnt oil like crazy surely ? And nowhere near the power it made ? and show up on a compression test ?...


Dont be 100% that its solved yet until shes running , but I hope it runs well !

What pistons did you go with ? Higher C/R ?
