Vtecdirect?

Did i not send you the tracking number for the oil? Apologies.
I know there is a return at my old unit that came in yesterday - maybe that's the oil. I will confirm today Winston.

Any news on this one?

Wow...this thread has grown since I last looked! I have been dealing with Bazza for a while now and have spoken to him on a number of occasions via email and in person about all this. For those of you jumping at the opportunity to complain, it may be your right to do so, but in most cases the fine print will give you an explanation!

Give Bazza a break, he has been around on this circuit for years helping out the Honda community, the financial situation is not his fault (in the same way it's not yours!), this has been his livelihood! Think of it as if you were facing unemployment, or if a company you had a lot of shares with suddenly went under, you would be loosing out and there would be nothing you could do ..... at least Bazza is working to fulfill his orders, in most cases at his own expense!

I myself have a fairly sizable order (almost £4000) with Bazza, which has been placed since August!!! I picked up some of the products a couple of months ago, but am still waiting on the rest. However there is no doubt in my mind that Bazza will fulfill this order, I am not moaning about the situation as I don't really see it as being constructive? He is one guy, and I'm sure is doing his best to sort everyone's orders in the time he has!

:)

Thanks Baz, received Spoon drop-in filter today,

Many thanks and dealing with the situation very well,

Dan

The latest on there website!

STORE CLOSED FOR UPDATE

VTEC Direct was built on passion for Honda.. From the very beginning (way back in 2006) we understood that the target we wanted to achieve was almost impossible. But it was through our determination, tenacity and love for Honda that we pulled it off.

Thousands of products displayed on a website built and customised for the Honda owner (around 4500 the day it went live). Not a generic tuning website with POA for prices and no images. It took almost 12 months to put the website in a live state, and it’s changed and expanded a lot since 01/01/08. It’s always been run by a small number of people to keep costs down but as the website grew it far exceeded our turnover expectations.

The first year online saw sales over GB £400,000.00 (Convert) achieved, but with the amount of work involved with processing that amount of orders, moving towards stock holdings and then the £ crash it has been a daily struggle to keep the business running.

Anyone reading this that is self employed knows all to well the difficulty in running a business in the UK, let alone in the current economic market. So much red tape and tax its unreal.

Therefore for both personal and commercial reasons we have decided to sell the company to another very passionate Honda man, Andy Smith, known as “irishteacher” on many of the Honda forums. He is a fully qualified motor vehicle technician so can usually answer a lot of your more technical questions as well as offer a fitting service for the majority of the parts Vtecdirect offers.

It has taken a few months to iron out the deal but as of 01/03/2009 the new owner will be taking charge of all the orders placed after this date.

Any orders placed prior to this will be taken care of by myself and VTEC Direct Ltd.

My email address barry@vtecdirect.com will continue to work for a period of 3 months, so please update your records to sales@vtecdirect.com which will go to the new owner Andy Smith from 01/03/2009.

Any customer who has an order on with VTEC Direct Ltd will be emailed shortly.

Thanks for all the support this past year, its been tough and so much work. I wish all of you the very best and I am sure you will join me in wishing Andy Smith the very best in running VTECdirect.com and I hope he continues to develop it to keep it the top Honda website.

Best Regards

Barry Smith

I personally think its sad that you have all openly jumped on Bazza the way you have, I have delt with him serveral times throughout and he has alway been very helpful!

The above just goes to show how wrong it has gone for him! I wish him all the best.

I would like to Wish Andy all the best with the take over.

Hope things pick up for Bazza, and good luck to Andy, I'm sure VtecDirect will continue to serve all us Honda heads well!

And....hope this doesn't mean Bazza will be disappearing somewhere, stick around!

It is a shame about Bazza, But I personally know Andy and his commitment to Honda and the other forum members is very good.

I am glad Vtec Direct isnt going under and I am sure you guys wont be disappointed with the service you will receive when the deal is completed.

Baz, best of luck with whatever you decide to do.

Andy, Good luck with Vtec Direct
