well lad,

i have an apexi that came on the care when she came in .
i wanna change it straight away.
im thinkin of the itr box with a spoon filter and j's racing air feed???
by the way mugen is outta the question too expensive:D

Any suggestions lads??

thanks for the feedback:nice:

Spoon drop-in and remove resonator? You'll need an air feed though, not seen the J's racing one?

Mine:

j's doesnt have a cold air feed on the civic, only in the s2k... they just supply a carbon duct panel thing that creates a hole in the bumper. :D

oh thought j's had the full air feed no???

what yee think my best option is so??

standard box with air feed???

I would recommend getting the J'sRacing Tsuchinoko Air Intake
Default.aspx

will an itr airbox fit straight on?? or will it be affected by the different throttle body sizes??
i presume so:thanks:

i've heard good things about the J' intake... only if you can source a cold airfeed to it though.
i have seen a few with the itr airbox, however, i don't know why... has anyone had first hand experience, and is it better than the ek airbox?!?!

I wounder if I put a heat shield around the filter on the j's induction kit blocking heat from the engine would it help

If spoon uses the ITR air box on their ek9, then its probably a good idea. It looks to be a much simpler design than the ek9 box. You should just make some sort of duct that goes from your foglight hole to the spoon filter combined with the itr box (you dont have to make a hole in the bumper if you dont want to, you can just make the intake suck air from right behind that part of the bumper). That would be a great combination, just make sure that the pipe that goes from the cold air source to the filter is MUCH bigger than the regular intake piping, and is preferably closed out from engine bay air. This is the way mugen and comptech designed theirs and there is a reason for that.

I totally agree!

I did a hole in the bumper because I crashed and wrecked up my front bomper. I felt a BIG difference in performance. I think you don't need to spend 1000 $ in a intake.

Thanks for clearing that up. I was just going off a recent picture posted on this site of a spoon ek9, that must have been with a b18c.

rvm any chance you could take a pic a bit further back to we see the hole in the front bumper better go back 5 or 6 foot a snap the whole front??

I will use Comptech Icebox with ITR TB and Manifold! There is only 400 kms in my renewed tuned engine! I haven't reved it over 4000 rpm yet. As I finish with suspension, brakes upgrade I will test the engine power!:)
