Hello guys i have tein type ha's on my ek9 which i will be overhauling in the near future (also would like to know what are the spring rates om those if anyone knows) and i am thinking of rebushing my car but i hear all kinds of things between energy suspension and hardrace bushings and i want your opinions on both i dont drive my car everyday but the roads are a bit bumpy in my country and also my driving style is a hard and i usually go for touge runs so i want responsivness any replies are apreciated! :)

It really seems to be a preference thing. Lots of people rate hard race highly. People seem to give out about squeaking in the energy suspension but if you buy the black ones and extra lube that seems to sort it. I'm planning on buying energy suspension master kit this week

Hardrace all the way. My car is a road car and its full hardrace. Here in the UK we used to drive on the left of the road, now we drive on what's left of the road and the hardrace stuff being hardened rubber is a little more forgiving than the polyurethane stuff over rough surfaces.

Ok thank u for the reply did you change the trailing arm bushes with hardrace or did you put the oem one because im told not to change from the oem trailing arm bushings

I've had both hardrace and new oem rta bushes.
On different ek9s but I'd definitely say the hardrace ones the car wants to rotate more off the throttle and whilst braking in a corner.
Not dangerously so just more.

My rta bushes were absolutely shot so I can only say i feel an improvement. @jesse888 is more of a driver than me so his advice is probably more useful.

Ive just installed energy suspension poly bushes along with oem honda for my ek9, i havent driven the car yet as its still getting prepared for track in april.
I will post a review, i really cant wait.

I think it's a personal preference thing tbh. At first I preferred the oem style but now i can't say I'm bothered either way.
If you don't like oversteer I'd fit the new oem replacements, although the difference isn't huge every little helps...

Unless you want to be re-greasing bushings periodically or replacing everything once again in a year or two, I would avoid anything made of polyurethane.

Poly doesn't deflect, it deforms. Quite quickly!

Rubber can and will last decades!

OEM / Hardrace / Spoon / Mugen get my vote!

Everyone suggested hardrace i think i will make the move and go for them:)

Where is the best/cheapest place to pick up a full hardrace bush kit for an ek4 sir?
