as the title says what kinda mpg is your ek9 returning on average??

just trying to find out how juicy these are on fuel compared to my 2.0litre accord auto:lol:

When my car was stock I was getting like 25 - 30 depending if a/c was on or off :)

i normally get 250-280 miles out of a full tank.
however, if you drive very slowly, you can get a whopping 320 :)

fuel tank should be ~11 gallons, i was getting 24mpg when i was NA.

Last full tank I got 320ish kms which is about 200 miles, If I dont drive like a loon I could probs get loads more!

Yes I know I have a problem...

I'm addicted to vtec!! :ek9:

Maybe if gas was very expensive I would care about mileage, but right now I never fill much past a 1/2 tank, and don't drive like a granny. I like having a performance car and drive it like one, the fact that its a small displacement honda is plus however.

I do recommend that everyone keep their air filters, fuel filters, and injectors clean.

Stock I was getting from 30 - 35 miles

i drove home from north germany to switzerland (about 830 kms) and needed about 2,5 tank-fills with complete stock car (all german Autobahn, all the times full 180 km/h :D)

Bringing an old thread alive....... but its something i am wondering.

Ive just refueled my ek9 for the first time, and i drove it on vtec everytime i could.
It gave me 28 (18 miles aprox) per gallon.
Tha car has been stroked to 1.8cc.

Im currently measuring again, and driving normaly and very little vtec for now.
Ive driven 160 (100 miles aprox) kms and its already in half tank. Im using 97 octane fuel.
Isnt it consuming more than it should?

Thanks

Track driving. 20-22mpg Road driving 34-36 if i'm careful.

B16A2

I easily get more miles using Shell V Power.

alphington road filling station exeter to gordano services bristol,
(topped tank back up to full before going castle combe)
£10.52 of fuel at 122.9 pence, 76.2 miles = 39.82mpg cruising at 75

not bad!!

may i speak of my b18c? for normal driving 2200rpm`s-3000rpm`s i get 9-9,5lt/100km. Agressive driven 15-16lt/100km. i`ve spent as much as half a tank in 80km!!!!!

im getting between 30-35 mpg out of my b16a2 with cone filter, decat and cat back exhaust

my ek9 has a cat-back exhaust and bmc cda airbox and i drive around 32 miles to get to my work. One week i drove really conservatively (but not going abnormally slow) and worked out i got 40.8 mpg from the tank of v-power.

If im not focusing on econemy i get around 35-36mpg travelling to work, and when im driving it hard now and then it dips below 30mpg, sometimes well below 30 ha ha!
