hi everyone am a bit ost on what to do next, at the moment a have a ek4 with a ek9 engine in it, it has a dc sports manifold, stainless exhaust system, aem v2 induction kit, i was wondering what mod to do next (by the way i didnt do those mods bought it like that) not really too fussed about price but just want something to do like, cheers for any input

What to you use the car for? Street? Track? or better still, what do you want from the car? Power? Handling?

suspension, decent tyres, body/chassis strengthening, toda header, cams, good ecu, engine rebuild/strengthening d list goes on since money isnt an issue..

cheers for the input i was looking towards power really, it is already lowered forgot to mention, it also has front and rear strut braces, handling wise cant fault it, ive just got the power bug lol, ive heard that there isnt much point in camming the b16b because of the low torque and its better to stick the integra lump in, is this true? cant really be bothered change engines again lol

also does anyone know any good ek9 tuning companies cant really find any ?

If for power, cams, ecu and a good tune will get you a significant amount of power.

im around the stoke-on-trent area and dont know of anywhere that does work with a ek9, i was thinking about cams but people ive spoken to said swap the engine to a b18c before camming the b16b like what you think?

That would also be a good idea, I'd rather do that actually :p Since B16b's aren't that much cheaper than a B18c, that will give you lots of bang for the buck. Still have retune though, that can yield a lot extra because of the breathing mods!

yeah thats what ave heard like and its supposed to give alot more torque but means alot of hassle and a busy weekend lol, do u have any idea how much the b16b fetches so a can get a rough idea on price cheers for the advice mate

I think you need to give WILL (EK9turbo on hear) a ring or a PM on hear!
He is the best guy around for engine tuning!
Will does all my work for me including the high comp Build that we are doing over the next few months!:nice:
He is based near doncaster!:secret:

As for changing to a B18 rather than caming your B16, it all depend on what you want from your car!
If it's just power you want then the B18 is the better base to start your tuning! IMO

But honestly i would have a good chat with WILL & he will be able to advise you the best!:nice:

Hear are a few thread about his work for you to read through!:nice:

cheers mate appreciate the advice will giv him a lil private message thanks

What's your budget? I'm not located in the UK but from what I've seen, asking price differences are between 200 and 400 pounds. You don't have cams, retainers and springs for 400 pounds and only the most agressive cams will give you the extra torque combined with power that the swap will give you.

If you have it tuned afterwards then I reckon you should make about 20-25hp a SHITLOAD of extra torque down low and in mid range extra compared to what you have now.

i have a budget of around 1000 to play with like but could be more if needed

1000 should be more than sufficient to sell your B16b, get a B18 and then get another ECU and have it tuned :)

hmm i am thinking more of going down that line, most likely too see higher gains at the end like, cheers for you help today mate
