What to do... k20 eg/ek or ep3?

Alright guys kind of stuck trying to make a decision on what to do... currently driving an ep3 as my daily and after a year or so it's getting pretty boring. Considered selling up and buying another ek9 but always fancied building a k series eg or ek. What's getting me is what would a k20 eg or ek be like as a daily driver? Mpg,reliability etc etc. Just don't want to go and tear a perfectly good ep3 to bits if it wasn't going to be worth it! I know from using the parts and selling the rest of the bits I'd probably almost break even minus the price of the new car. So basically just looking for a bit of feedback from someone who has or had run a k swap as a daily?
 
I ran a K swap as a daily for a few months before it became a track toy / weekend weapon.

For me its the perfect swap as you have the 6 speed in a light shell so the mpg is better than that of an EP3. Plus 240bhp in an EK is just right.

I do love the shape of an EG so if I was to do it all again I would have started with an EG.

Reliability touch wood mine has been bullet proof. Hope this helps if you need to know anything more just ask.
 
At a guess with an eg full interior ect you would prob see 35-45ish mpg at a guess as my ep3 i got around 30-40ish
