what to look for on a ek9

hi i have a toyota starlet ep91

I really love ek9's and will be looking to get one in the near future is there any tel tale signs to look out for from thrash miss use or common rust area's also there are many different variations with them what edition are the best to get is there any last edition colours like red etc i have a open budget but not sill i have about £7000-£9000 saved up for months of hard work

....look at the sticky in this section of the forum...most of the information is there.

and also 100% these cars will be "thrashed" regularly at 8k rpm + but they are built for it..so it is allll good

they don't suffer much from rust if they are fresh from jap.

don't really if anything is wrong with the EK9

apart from the...odd water leak..
