Gurus,

My plan to install b20 block+ itr head... for track use. reason b20b are dirt cheap . i do not want to "age" my b18c block too fast. so i recon std itr cams will only produce peak power at 8+k rpm therefore the sleeves could possibly take it.

if the block of the engine were to blow up. will the head of the engine be damaged as well?
why?

It depends what the nature of the failure is, many times the head is unscathed, sometimes the head is a total loss.

What part of your b18c do you fear will "age" if there even is such a thing...

always said track but never go there.......:drive:

as blinx said....it depends on what the failure is...hard to predict what will happen, but u should be mate...b20's r bulletproof if the builder does is right n knows a vtec motor well
..but unexplainable things doo happen at the track...
