Well finally got round to sorting some aftermarket wheels thanks to Willi. :nice:
Now all I need to fit them is some nice new wheelnuts (and some coilovers to lower it but it'll take me a while to get to that ;)).

Anyone recommend/not recommend some brands.

So far i've looked at 5zigen ProRacer, Rays, Muteki & Kyokugen Lugs...
Any i've missed?

I recommend Rays, I'm running a cheap aluminum nuts bought in ebay, they can handle track use without any problems, I paid 30 $ for them, and I have no complaints.

I ran 2 sets of Muteki nuts, they were OK, I wouldn't recommend them as the key snapped :( - that explains why I had 2 sets lol

The black ones last for a long time, but the blue ones do NOT. Just thought I would add that for anyone interested.

my friend has recently purchase the rays lug nuts from the lin bon just added.
Good service and they look

Love the look of the Rays ones, I'll definately be buying me some of them. Just gotta decide on whether the black or red will look better with bronze alloys...

If you have the money, go for rays :)

i have rays red nuts (now kinda pinnk LOL) and they are INSANELY Light, i mean you have to double check to see if theyre in your hand light:nice:LOL

Yeah! My teggy came from japan with rays nuts, and they where extremely light, I had to remove them because they where in bad shape :(

Quite tempted by the rays, shame that seller doesn't have a set or black ones else i'd snap em up. May have to go for the 5zigen's, quite like the the style of the longer nuts... :)

What torque settings do you use on the nuts? Iv got soom skunk 2 racing lug nuts but dont want to over tighten them and strip them.
James.

My Rays alloy lug nuts said 9-11 kgf/m or 88-118 Nm on the packaging.

Cheers,
Alex

my friend got a set of "zenki" lug nuts from ebay for around £30 (replica rays nuts), good quality and nice bright anodised red. tried them on my car yesterday and look great on white wheels

im sure its ray's that haribo has they work well on his car no problems yet. i just cant get over how funny they feel as they are so light would never think they would hold a wheel on

I've learnt my lesson, do it once, do it right.
Buy the best.

When I bought my car it had insanely light wheel nuts - 18g  each but such a shame they weren't locking. The Rays are about 25g each I think, so not too shabby ;) and will be (hopefully) awkward enough to remove it's not worth some scum trying...

Cheers,
Alex
