Hi anyone know what this could be basically i have a b18 JDM 96 with box and all and when im at over 30mph i get this whining noise and can't seem to work out what it is anyone know ?

Try changing the oil and see if that helps. If not it could be the main bearing on the input shaft

Changed it less then a week ago and take it input shaft bearing is expensive job?

Do u hear it about 20 30 mph, then wen u go faster it kinda gos away?? If so it most like a primary shaft bearing.. If it only the bearing about £ 20 30 I guess.. Means the gearbox has to come out and opened.. So to pay some body it would be a few to do all da work £££.. Also wen ur in there prob clutch kit?? So more money

I had roughly the same issue when i had my kaaz diff in stalled, 3 weeks after install i could hear a whining noise and a strong smell of gearbox oil in the car, it ended up being mty lay shaft bearings.

Hope this helps

Main input shaft bearing mines been doing it for ages got the bearing on order from sim autos n booked in with tgm end of oct

Is your girlfriend or mom in the car? I get the same if I go past 30mph
"slow down its only a 30"
