Will an integra LSD fit my B16A2 box???

def not... different size for gear.... only type r with type r and sir with sir...

as said i don't think it does, try get a 98 DC2 gearbox, gives you lower ratio for acceleration

I'm changing my final drive anyway to suit nurburgring with better accelration bt was thinking it be a good idea for LSD.

It is only the LSD, i think he is keeping the original crown wheel and pinion.
Will the lsd not bolt onto the non lsd crown wheel????
Dunx

I think you need the genuine 4.78 final drive along with it!!!

get a rather affter market LSD like Kaaz:nice:

They are cheap yes but they do work. A friend of mine has tried this product before. They will damage the transmission if you dont remove the dowels and clips that lock the unit together for assembly ;)

All i know is that back in the day we did some testing for them, they promised to repair/replace any damaged transmissions as a result, we installed there unit per there instructions and at about 400whp the tranny exploded! And guess what, they did NOT replace the tranny like they said they would... a number of other shops in the area had the same experience, they are just about unheard of in the US as a result...

To use the Type-R LSD, you will also need the B18C fitment ring gear. The B16A2 ring gear won't bolt up to the Type-R LSD.

If you are going to be changing your final drive, make sure to get the B18C fitment final drive if you also want to use the Type-R LSD :)

i would just get yourself on itrdc2 forum and get a whole s80 itr gearbox and drop that in there works out cheaper and will also give you superior gear ratios to what you have now.

stick the lightest flywheel you can in there along with a good quality clutch such as spoon, clutchmasters or carbonetics whilst you`re at it

Superior in what sense?

It really just depends on what the car is being used for. If he put the 4.785 FD in his box, he would have the same 1/2/3 as the ITR, but a shorter 4/5. If he put the 4.928 in his box, he would have a shorter 1/2/3/4/5 than the ITR and would accelerate like a bat out of hell.

The ITR box is overated and overpriced (although it is good to get if you can pick them up for cheap and you need a replacement box). As the saying goes, if it's not broke, don't fix it, and he hasn't broke any of his gears ;)

Wow! thats bad, i was told about this product working good a few years ago and that wasnt on a turbo motor. ive had no personal dealings with the product but will steer clear hearing of your experience with them

Point i was trying to make was an ITR box can be picked up for £450 - 500

a second hand ITR diff would be about £200 and final drive kit woudl be circa £500, then you have to get it fitted,

most people poses the skills to change the gearbox by themselves , but not so many can take a box apart and change the parts within so labour costs are saved also,

just seems cheaper and simpler to get a good second hand ITR box,,
and the itr box (UK or 98 spec) will improve acelleration through the gears compared to the civic box...

ITR box is by no means the be all and and all but it may be an economical solution to what ijwhiteman is trying to acheive.

my brothers UKDC2 is awesome round the nurburgring with stock ratios. :nice:

If he can pick it up for cheap and it is good condition (you don't really know until you test it), then yeah, the ITR tranny could be a good choice :)

As mentioned though, the B16A box with a 4.785 final drive would have the same 1/2/3 as the ITR, and a shorter 4/5 (the ITR has a longer 4/5 to compensate for the 4.785 FD).

Just comes down to what you want out of the car, and how much you've got to spend :D
