Will blown exhaust effect performance?

Hi guys im doin this on my mobile as my broadbands fuggerd so excuse me if it doesnt look right!

On saturday me and a friend fitted a decat to my ek9 and realised that i had a small craic in the middle silencer box of my hks cat back and by the time we finished wiggling da exhaust to get the decat fitted we realised due to how badly rusted the exhaust is the craic had gotten bigger to the legnth of a credit card say! When we finished fitting the decat and bought it for a spin we could really hear the exhaust blowing! Im just wondering is this slowing me down much having a crack 3/4 the way back my exhaust system? I dont mind the noise too much! Im still using standard four branch by the way and the decats a straight through pipe and the exhaust system is a shitty hks one!

not to sure bout power loss but there will be an interruption of flow of waste gases. i would presume there would be some kind of power loss. how can HKS be shitty?! my brothers 9 has a HKS Hi power and its awesome!
 
Thanks for replying! Ya i presume im losing a slight bit of power bt im guessing it cant be much? Well the hks is shitty for not being made of stainless steel for one:-( it sounded well before captain rust made himself felt! How can a company as big as hks have made an exhaust sytem out of mild steel or whatever rust bucket material?

are all hks exhausts made from mild steel? all you ever hear is bad things from them.... well apart from sound till it rusts

They sell full SS systems also, depends what car its for, obviously there 350z and GTR systems are full SS ;) they also cost A LOT!
 
they are made from mild steel because they were ment for cars in japan where rust is not really a problem. its not going to last long in our climate. also mild steel is alot easier to repair if it gets fcuked on the track or that.
it had 1 on 1 of my old vtis but sold it as im not really a big fan of hks stuff.
 
Thanks for replys as always guys! Im thinking of getting a skunk2 exhaust system as theyre keenley priced and are stainless steel! Your views?:)
