iv not been driving my car for the last 8 months as i moved out, so the car had to stay on my parents drive :(

anyway, noticing that exhaust and manifold are becoming a little rusty and unsightly so i was wondering if exhausts and manifolds like the ebay ones would be ok for me?
i only intend for the exhaust to be used for normal light use and maybe a every now and again for a foot down moment,
i dont know that much about these sort of thing so i would be grateful if someone had any knowledge of how good these certain parts are etc

thanks :)

i would stay clear of them ebay exhausts , it would be a better idea to buy a good brand exhaust second hand as im sure it would be better than a new one from ebay

You get what you pay for!!! As said, second hand good make would be your best bet dude :)

What car do you drive? You could clean down the manifold and exhaust if its not to bad or as above buy something brand named or second hand! Dont go near anything from ebay, especially if its not jasma certified!

i drive an 1.5i ls, ek3 model, nothing special but its what i can afford ha

mines pretty bad theres loads of rust and black patches where im guessing soot from exhaust gases had leaked,
well thanks guys :) ill hold out then till i can find a second hand exhaust,
does anyone have a suggestion? one at a decent price, maybe £200? i have no idea, and i dont mean to be a noob haha

Have you spoke to Honda? Might be worth getting a price on the standard system, can't be that much surely? Only saying that with it being ek3 but knowing Honda it'l be a silly suggestion!

Also depends what your after - performance enhancement? Something that looks good? stainless steel for lifetime? Just a replacement?

Then you have to think of noise - because the louder exhaust are usually the more free flowing less restriction. So are you prepared to have a loud exhaust? Or you wanting something quite quiet but loud when you want it to be?

There are so many exhausts on the market, but the better ones are expensive.

Bought an Ebay exhaust for a mate of mine, it wasn't even that bad in terms of build quality and fitment. One thing however that you can not expect is a lot of sound dampening on the complete Ebay systems. So expect a loud car with farty sound.

Well I'd really want something to look good but obviously not sound like my cars taking a ****!
Eventually I plan to make the car look good as my car isn't a performance vehicle and I know that so I just want a nice car to look at! I think I'll hold out for a decent exhaust because I also don't want to be mistaken for a knobhead driving around with a **** sounding car

Ive got the OEM ek3 system im taking of my car, B pipe is only a year or 2 old baught from honda so tis in good condition if your intersted? suppose you could mate it with a back box.

If not what about a custom made SS system?

eBay systems will sound like utter crap and you will be ( or at least should be) embarrassed to be heard in it.

I recently picked up a Mongoose cat-back system off ebay new for just over £300. The best feature of this exhaust is that the length is adjustable where it meets the cat so you can compensate for different exhausts UK - US / JDM etc. Also you can specify different end tips depending on whether you like under or overstated looks. Finally the volume is louder than standard but very 'live-able' when compared to some systems, especially the ebay ones you mentioned.

My back box new was £80 fitted at ATS so cant imagine it would be to much for the rest

Last time I had a cheap mid pipe like the ATS ones you're talking about it lasted 12 months at best which is why I went stainless.

Just get standard EK3 exhaust - it will be cheap and good quality. Don't suppose you're going to keep the car for the next 10 years, so you're probably changing it for the last time anyway...

Ebay exhaust are junk the cat back are 1 inch to small and the manifolds sound like a scobby

normally i'd say stay clear of ebay stuff. but as your not really interested in the performance aspect and more the aesthetics side id say go for it.

Id say a spec 2 and a second hand dc mani and u will have a loud but got a jdm tone sounding car rather than a honda with a scobby sound or like ur running a miss fire
