Will facelift rubber hood / bonnet seal fit pre-facelift?

See title. I know the hoods are different, and I know the hood seals are different part numbers (and the pre-facelift only covers the headlights, the facelift is the whole length of the hood). However the pre-facelift seals are unobtanium, and mine have seen better days. Anyone tried fitting a facelift hood seal to a pre-facelift? I have one sitting around I could try, but I'd rather not risk further damage to my current seal(s) by removing them unless I'm confident the replacement will work. Anyone here done this successfully?

I can answer my own question, in case anyone in the future that's reading this is wondering. The E-EK9 and GF-EK9 front hood / bonnet rubber seal are different enough where the one-piece facelift hood seal will NOT work on a pre-facelift vehicle. I did a dry fit tonight and it isn't even close enough to try and make work. There is apparently a one piece part that will work on an E-EK9 (which ends in G00, NOT G10 like the facelift part. The full number is 74142-S04-G00). It is from a pre facelift JDM Civic Ferio or a pre facelift USDM Civic hatch. Unfortunately that part is as much unobtanium as the two-piece E-EK9 hood seal kit. Just figured I'd share the info anyways.

I knew it was going to be different because the shape of the headlights and the upper grill is different.

Well I got pretty lucky. Was browsing eBay and saw an auction for this. The seller had listed it as a facelift hood seal (S04-G10) but I immediately noticed the differences. This was 100% a photo of the preface lift "G00" part I mentioned above. Seller was in Dubai and the description said the photo was the actual part I'd receive, so I took a gamble based only on this photo...

Happy to say that the part I received was exactly the part in the photo! I now have a new old stock S04-G00 rubber hood seal and it only cost me $60. I cleaned it up a bit with soap and water, and have it soaking in some Adams graphene tire dressing before I wipe off the excess and put it on.

Already removed the old seals and clips (they were quite torn up) and took the opportunity to clean under them thoroughly (it was DISGUSTING) and do some touch-up paint as well. The old seals went straight in the trash... bye Felicia! I think I really lucked out here because I had all but given up hope on finding one of these. Technically it isn't for the EK9 but rather the EJ7, but I did a test fit and it will work perfectly. Might even keep the engine bay a little cleaner with the center section having a seal on it now like the facelift ones do!

Edit: fits and looks great!
