lol, unfortunately bonnet and bumper are two of the few things that don't transfer over :(

bonnet, bumper, headlights, grill, fenders do not transfer

I thought these do transfer over aslong as you change all of the bits. ie. bonnet, bumper, headlights, grill, fwings and front slam panel.

Yes, that is the case.

Ok wait......so he is looking at getting a crashed facelift civic with front end damage and hoping to swap his pre-facelift bits onto the damaged facelift civic.....

Sorry I think I misunderstood when I first read the post, been up for almost 24 hours lol!!

I guess there's no reason you can't do a pre-facelift conversion :D

Your friend will need the headlights, front wings, bonnet, bumper, grill etc off his old civic to transfer over.

Slam panel doesn't need changing? I think there may be a fitment issue with one of the radiator brackets, but I don't think it's anything that can't be modified easily. Slam panel swap is effort!

Saying that, I've never seen anyone do a pre-facelift conversion, always the other way around so who knows?! You might get away with it!

:) ya that is exactly what is being done repairing a crashed facelift using parts from a pre facelift . So will the pre face lift bonnet bumper and grill fit ya?

You can`t change half the things. This is a facelift headlight against a prefacelift fender.

Notice how larger the grill is on the facelift model.

You have to change the wings/fenders which i did say.

Yes it will work mate, just make sure you change over the whole front end:

Bonnet, bumper, grill, headlights, fenders.

Im actually in the process of doing a facelift conversion now, the only thing that I think might not fit is the pre facelift bumper mounts are narrower (closer to the centre) than facelift, so depending on what the mount it like you might now be able to mount the bumper. but there are enough places holding the bumper, above th grille, so I think it should be fine

hey guys ya im the exact opposite to dis guy doing this conversion, ive a 00 1.4 civic hatchback white, and a guy crashed into the front of it today just damaging the bonnet and bending the front bar a bit,my front bumper just needs a bit of patching up wasnt really damaged, how much is the fela in the crashed civic lukn 4?

if im not mistaken i believe you would need to change out from the fenders to the front including the hood and all other parts as well ... mine is a 96 and it has a facelift ... got it like that though...
