would I be better off buying a full ep3 to do k swap

Dont know if this is the rite place to post this but. I want to do a k swap into my ek9 and I can get a k20 ep3 for around 2000. Would I be better off buying it and selling what I don't use or should I just source the parts. I plan to do a hybrid swap so I want to keep costs low on the motor and gearbox. Any suggestions appreciated
 
Could always buy the car and then of course make money back by selling the parts you dont need, couls still make a good bit back with interior, all the bodypanels and wheels etc...
 
As above. If you have the space, time and knowledge to do it then go for it! Make the money back from the ep3 and buy some uprated goodies

Ya that's what I wanted to hear didn't know if them parts are selling anymore

I have the space time and I'm working on the knowledge starting on this :)
 
this is what im doing the ep3's seem to be dificult to get parts for as i am having no problem getting rid of surplus parts.
 
Sounds like a good plan to buy an EP3 and part it out. It is pretty expensive to swap a K into an EK. Motor, Trans, ECU, Hondata, Mounts, harness, linkage, axles, exhaust, ect. If you have the time and money to get an EP3 for the motor and trans, then part the rest, you should manage pretty well.
 
besides engine and gearbox what other oem ep3 parts do people need to do swaps into eg/ex etc ? (not all aftermarket custom parts you have to buy)

ive got facelift engine available soon + any other bits needed besides gearbox as breaking my ep3

As far as I know you need mounts, engine loom , charge harness and ecu. I'm sure there's a few more parts I left out
 
Im buying a full ep3 for my k swap.

More so that a can test drive the car fully, so i will know the engine is good, rather than buying an engine on someones word that it is good.
