as above hey guys im seeing if a y21 lsd gearbox be suited for my ek9. i know the y21 and s4c gear ratio are identical, just jus the lsd are diffrent, need opinion realy as a lad as a s4c with no lsd, but y21 with lsd wish one would be beter thanks.

Thank for your reply, would i loose anything from s4c with 4.7 fd to y21 because of the stronger lsd in the s4c so bassicly the s4c and y21 are the same ratio except the lsd is that right?

can someone clerify this for me would a y21 g.box be ok with my ek9 i use my car as a daily drive and i have no intention going on a track at the min so would this be fine or would i loose anything.thanks

i thought y21 is cable and s4c is hydro?

I ran a y21 on my old civic. It's basically a 96 spec s80. The y21 will be a 4.4 final drive rather than a 4.7 afaik. So bit longer ratios. Could put your 4.7 into a y21 tho.
