Hi all, iv been a member on here a few years and thought it's time to start a build thread.
I bought the car back in 2012. It's a 98 ek9 origanally champ white but resprayed y56.
Here is a few pictures from when I bought it

this HTML class. Value is http://s72.phot

I drove the car for a while and Enjoyed it.
After a while I had a little tip on the rear quarter so I decided to get a new one from honda along with two front wings and treated it to a full respray which I wasn't happy with.
Changed the wheels from rota slipstream to Kosei k1.
This is how it was when I got it back.

I decided to strip the rear as I had an xbrace to go in and takata harnesses. Got the xbrace off eternal blue 2000 on here in really good condition with original m and m honda sticker on it.

That's everything I have really done to it so far except for replacing general wear and tear parts and upgrading some bushings. Comments welcome. I know it's not the best build thread atm or best example compared to the standard of cars on here but it's what I have to work with atm and will get better in time.
Plan to do a trackday in mondello next month at autoheroes so will be getting it ready for that with some brakes and fresh rubber.
After that I plan to take the b18 out of it and give it a few extra bits aswell as spraying the bay yellow and cleaning it all up as it's a mess under the bonnet.

Generally trying to get it up to ek9.org standard lol thanks for looking

Looking good bud. Don't get hung up on getting it to any other standard than the standard your happy with. Everyone's hyper critical of their own car. I think mine is ruff as f*ck but that's only because I know all the small flaws. To anyone else, even serious car people, they think it's mint. Apart from the massive hole in the side of the engine. Hard to hide that lol.

Thanks man if it was to half the standard of cars on here I would be happy with. Ha very impressive build yours thanks again

good project although if I was you, I would cross the harness straps as that is how they are meant to be!

Mines rough as fudge aswell so don't worry about it!
Hard to tell how clean a car is when it's flying round track...

Ya that's true Jesse I think if I got a new bumper with no fogs and a type r lip, genuine badges, decals and cleaner head lights would make a hell of a difference

As said above you know all the flaws of your own car....was up at auto heroes and didn't see it did you go?

Ya that's true there's alot ha. I was at the last one but the car wasn't ready for the trackday so I just went up with friends. We're you out on track yourself

Great to finally see your car! Looking forward to seeing how you change the car! You know the flaws but thats the best thing about it because like my car you can work and work on them until the cars perfect! Where are you actually from in Ireland? Nothing like a y56 9 :)

Thanks have a little update coming soon nothing major. That's the plan anyway over the winter. Unfortunately it's not a genuine y56 but still looks good ha.
I'm from tipp. Where you from yourself Turfy. Would be good to get meet going at some stage with a few of the irish members on here
