i dont own an EK9...yet,

but everyone i show the car i love all say the same thing

"thats such a boy racer car"

now let me say a few things
i dont buy max power or fast car, i dont think putting a crap bodykit on a great car is a good idea, 18 or 19 inch wheels on a civic is pointless
and probably worst of all, i listen to Radio 2!

and yet still people sterotype me because of the car i have a big interest in!

Anyone else find this or is it jus me??
 
I have a US market EJ6 converted and often get somewhat the same stereo type...
 
well...to be honest...Its not a boy racer car because these are a nightmare to insure...but they are defo Road Race cars

Tell these people to GTF, why do you care what they think anyway?
 
Just ignore them and get the car you like :) Who cares what they think.
 
An EK9 shows the fact your different and that you understand Honda's idea of a true drivers car!
People will always make there own comment, but you shoudl go for a car because you want to know what other people say!

Its like compairing a normal honda against any type r in the range! just because you want a Type R dosen't automatically make you a Boy Racer.

Just someone who appreciates a well engineered car!
 
its not that i care, its jus a common thing that many of my friends say when i talk about it, thankfully i have other friends who are into imports too so its not as bad as it seems.

jus seems a bit insulting when they label it a boy racer car when to me they are novas, corsas and saxos etc...
 
hmmm.... i rarely id at all get that comment. then again, my exhaust is quiet and the colour of my car is black....
as said before though.. just ignore them and enjoy your car
 
ya ull get that alrigh, a noisy aftermarket exhaust and the bright red recaros dont help matters haha.

but they are genuinely a very nice/rare/enthusiats car especially when kept well.

As they say it is really a "boy racer car". it is a race spec car that typically young enough lads drive...it shouldnt fall under that stereotype tho
 
Dude just buy it, ;)

the response i have got from the local guys about car is they absolutely adore it and they're into there supras, rx7's etc, im sure you get the picture....
 
Why would you even care about people that think they can judge your character and who you are by knowing what car you have? F00k them :p
 
Ignore them mate If they are happy going round in there **** boxes then thats fine:p I use to get alot of chav & boy racer comments when I drove a evo 5 :((
