Let me just start by saying I have had an ongoing project for years but as a daily car it doesn't get mad mods like some of you. I am going to start this thread off from where I've started this year, copied from Civiclife.
Been a while
Car was neglected
Some parts to fit
Some parts to remove
Interior needs cleaning from neglect
Body will be seen to in due time
Full service very soon
Insurance expired so sat on my drive to be worked on.
I've started to revive her ...
The seat is almost dry so I plan to pull the other out tomorrow which is in worse condition, will probably get more videos back up on the YouTube and document the build a little, who knows.
So so here's before the clean started, general grime and mould from the neglect under a tree for 2 months lol. Disgusting.
This is after a rinse down with a hose and wiped down with an old microfibre cloth I had lying around.
After that I got a bucket put a random mixture of woolite and warm water together ( had no spray bottle to hand ) , soaked it in the microfibre cloth and continued to rub it into the seat. I then got another small bucket with another random mixture, poured it over the seat and then massaged it into the seat with my hands until it got all soapy. Do not do this in the freezing cold with strong wind, it was a bastard.
I then got the jet wash out and used it to blast the woolite and grime out the seat.
It took a while to get most of it out, I say most because it was still coming off when I decided to stop because it was getting too cold.
And about 2 days of sat by the radiator that stays on twice a day for about 2 hours it's pretty much dry. The camera quality at this point is terrible I must admit but I will get better pictures as soon as both are ready to go back in the car. In person, the transformation is night and day, smells better too, if I can get the shitbox accord to start tomorrow to get it off the drive I will continue to clean this civics interior and do the second seat, a how to will more than likely be uploaded by the end of next week for those who'd rather watch what I did.
oh and because I had a shifter laying about, K tuned copy which is of very good quality, thought I'd put this in at a later date, when I source some solid bushes, will probably buy some dimes since Liam likes his. This shifter will replace that awful tegiwa one, it may not be awful it maybe the bushes but I don't like it because it rusted while the car sat for 2 months lol, steel for you I guess .
link to my Instagram because I haven't got it saved on here.
practically the same as the K tuned B/D shifter.
Started cleaning. Haha.
