Alex's EK4 VTiS K20 swap Project

So this happened tonight.
Oops lol

Luckily I'd already bought a new ball joint so with the help if a couple of friends we had it back together and going fine within 3 hours of working at the road side haha :)

wauw, seeing this alot lately...makes me wanna replace my balljoints...

wee update! new wheels arrived :)

they were originally black but kerbed to **** and had paint chipped off everywhere so with a bit of patience and some cans of paint here is the result :D

My pal also just picked up his factory fresh mk7 golf gti, lovely car to be honest, so snapped a few pictures of it as well!

Next on the list is to get the 2 new wings i have sprayed and fitted as both of mine are badly corroded and the nearside one is totally ruined after the ball joint incident! lol

Small update!

Bought a rear VTIS badge as mine was missing

It arrived in poor condition paint was faded and scratched so I sanded it down:

Gave it a few coats of matt black

Masked it up

Chrome paint added

Then used milano red touch up paint to fill in the S and attached to the car with 3M double sided tape :)

Ive also ordered a brand new rear H badge from Honda as the boot looks **** without one! Thanks for looking

Quick update
Had the car machine polished last weekend :)

Added a brand new Honda badge

I also managed to get an EP3 steering wheel for a bargain!

And another small interior change, first starting with a filthy boring set of dials

And added a carbon fibre effect thing along with my own custom made sticker :)

Cool as **** panorama shot lol

This cars very nice mate well in, also got a ep3 wheel in my car :)

Just a wee update, should be receiving some OEM floor mats and OEM gear knob as well as picking up a mid spoiler at japfest 2! As well as front and rear EK9 bumpers to lose the bumpstrips, got 2 new wings to be painted and put on as well. Gonna have a shed/garage thing sorted next week so I'll be able to give the car a good freshen up over the winter! Can't wait to get it all sorted.

But for now some pics lol

Plans for winter will be just along the lines of a bit of engine work (stem seals maybe piston rings), poly bushing, bit of welding to sort the sills and floor pan (****ing hondas!), some new suspension and an underseal. Ive set myself April 2015 as a target date to have it finished by!

So the Civic actually made it to Japfest2! After replacing the O/S ball joint and packing the knackered CV joint with grease along with some high hopes lol.

Pics time!

Parked up at the hotel in Derby next to a guy from Newcastle's FN2

With Ross's VTiS at the maccies for the convoy

Parked up at Donington, the twins haha

MattySSB's EJ

Some bloke took a nice picture of my car lol

And home, after adding my new numberplate tilt bracket :)

Next up, midspoiler returns! :D

Was a great day! Roll on next year, hopefully my car's a bit more presentable by then lol

Right update time!

Received some EK9 parts from Graham who gave me a fantastic unmissable price so had to go for them. Front and rear bumpers and a rear spoiler. I'm also getting an EK9 recess from ISHY, again at a bargain price so thanks guys! Transported them home in the traditional manner haha

And here's a better look at them!

While I was away at japfest2, I'm assuming this happened on the ferry to the mainland, some inconsiderate retarded **** decided to run something, most likely their bag, right across my bonnet! Thanks, random wank!!

the new bumpers will look good once you put them on.

I like to keep both sets on hand, just in case I get bored with a look. I am getting ready to run a 99-00 set up on my 4 door.

New bumpers will make the car look smart! If you dnt mind me asking, how did u get ep3 dics on the 4 stud and what calipers you using? Thanks

you need civic si rear rotors that are 4x100 260-262mm and use ep3 rear calipers mounted in opposite mode

Cars looking well mate. Some nice progress. Had a wee chuckle at your no. plate though hahahaha :)

I hope so haha. It's got EP3 type r 300mm discs and calipers with the disc redrilled to 4x100 instead of 5x114.3

As above, it's only the front brakes not the rears mate

Picked up the new daily driver today! 34k original miles, slush box 1.4, immaculate interior! Only got one pic the now but it came with everything but spark plugs to service it and the back box it needs for an MOT! Bit of a bargain for just one hundred notes :D
