EK9 Racecar

Yeah that and leakage are your main issues really. As far as I'm aware the injectors spray straight out and not at an angle so I'd imagine it'll be alright as it is.

Yeh they spray straight by the looks of it, main thing is that they seal properly.
I'll use the oem seals and space the rail up a tad.

So my rotating assembly won't be back till sometime next week :(
They have been really busy apparently.

Not like I don't have stuff to do though!

Rocker cover had been finished, done in NH-O.
I was going to paint the H and writing but I think it may be a bit too much.

What do you guys think?

Will get a black Mugen rep cap.

Looks really good in nh-0 i didnt think it would look so nice but i would definitely say more lacquer. As soon as your hands touch that with the slightest bit of dirt or grime it will stain. Its happened to me soo many times before especially white. Apply it really thick so you can instantly see the shine and it looks wet, you will see the dry looking areas if you look close enough :)

Yeh I agree, think more lacquer is required.
I wasn't sure either but went for it and I'm glad I did, really happy with it.

Cleaned up the alternator today and painted the pulley, prob a bit OTT but it's got to look good!

Painted the slave cylinder also

I also need an engine mount, I'm after the nearside lower engine mount. The one on the A/C pump bracket. A new one from Honda is about £75 plus vat!
Anyone got one lying about?

Once **** an dirt cant get into the injector port its perfectly fine the spray is at the top too so it wont affect it at all :nice:

The mount your looking for is normally referred to as a lower torque mount,
Japservice parts or tegiwa probably sell them,
I'm sure I paid about £25 each for mine

Got one from Japservice parts, good site!
I usually use Tegiwa, but going give these guys a go. Prices are good too.

Thanks @b16 mini :nice:

Got lots done today, my best mate Doug came over to give me a hand.
I bought some ITR upper radiator mounts for the upper radiator brackets.
Flipped them upside down and with a aluminium spacer and a stainless bolt, they fit perfectly.

Will cut the excess metal off and give them a paint.

Got to make some brackets for the oil cooler, made some templates out of card. So I'll make them next week.

FMIC is fitted, I made some brackets for the bottom and the upper brackets came with the cooler.
Used stainless rivnuts in the bottom pannel and the crash bar to mount the brackets to the car.

Looks very tidy, very happy with how it's mounted, and it's solid as a rock!
Not going anywhere.

Was going to do two bolts for the bottom but that would be overkill, so will cut the brackets shorter and will paint them too.

And finally the surprise.
I love it! Took a while to fit, lots of measuring, but it was worth it.
BYC rear wing!
I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Intercooler fits like a dream with the oil cooler tucked behind, Good job!

That wing is enormous.

Looks like your onto a winner here sam!

Evil! I like where this is going! Attention to detail is 2nd to none. Is that wing adjustable?
