My Ek9 track car build up

Fair play to you mate this has came a long way since you first brought it

Keep it up :nice:
Thanks Jamie, it's certainly taken a different direction to what I had originally planned

I think the hardrace parts are good, a much better option than poly bushes in my opinion, I do have poly in the front arms and wish I had gone hardrace in them as well,

The main reason I did the bumper that way is because it had been painted previously and the black area had been done white. It was just easier to paint the whole thing again,
If your black part is in good condition I would just mask it off.

Thank you! I'm just a little ocd about re freshing things, it will probably never go to any shows but you never know
Well I can get the hardrace stuff at a good price so I think I'll buy a few things now, they look good but I hadn't spoke to anyone that had used them.

My bumper is a new unpainted one (non gen) so gotta paint the lot, I wondered if you went gloss/satin or matte black on the insert?

If I remember correctly I used matte black on the insert. just an aerosol job as its only a small area,
If your looking for a half decant aerosol then the u pol power cans are pretty good and cheap.
this is too good!! Fair play dude
Thanks Marty!

Just read through all of this - Brilliant build mate! wish my shell was as clean as yours though...

Is the fuel tank the original one?

Thanks Steve,
Yes the tank is the original, it did have a few areas of rust here and there. I either blasted the bits or deox gelled them I can't remember.

I did look at pattern part tanks, I think they were quite reasonably priced

It looks in good nick! I've been looking for pattern part tanks without much joy, I've welded up the holes on mine but would prefer to replace it if I can find one at a reasonable price - I'll PM you rather than clogging up your thread
